The approach

Starting with a visual intention

The idea may centre on movement, a mood, a piece of clothing, a colour palette or a particular way of using light. I help turn that starting point into a workable session plan.

The finished photographs can be expressive, narrative or experimental. They may be fully clothed, fashion-led, dance-inspired or more abstract. What matters is that styling, pose and composition support the same idea.

Developing the concept with you

You are welcome to share reference images or describe what draws you to a particular photograph. I use that material to understand the mood and visual qualities you like, not to copy another photographer’s work. I then agree a direction with you that fits the location available.

During the session, I guide expression, body lines and movement. You can also suggest an idea as the session develops; collaboration is part of the process.

Light, colour and black-and-white

The portfolio includes high-key work, sculptural shadow, colour toning, projected textures and black-and-white studies. I choose the treatment to support the concept and refine the selected photographs without erasing permanent characteristics that are part of you.

Planning and privacy

No previous modelling experience is required. I discuss clothing, references, location and boundaries with you before the session. Your photographs remain private unless you give explicit permission for a particular use.
