Home, studio or somewhere meaningful
A quiet session at home, carefully shaped studio light or an adventurous outdoor portrait: we start with the photographs you want to create.
In a studio
A dedicated space for the light, mood and style you have in mind. We choose a suitable studio and agree any hire costs together.
Somewhere you love
Woodland, a lake, the coast, mountains, a farm or a characterful interior. A favourite place can become part of your photographs.
Choosing the place together
Tell me about a place you love or the atmosphere you imagine. Woodland, lakes, mountains, the sea, cliffs, farms and characterful urban or industrial settings can all inspire a session. I help you choose a location that works for the photographs and the privacy you want.
For outdoor or unusual locations, we discuss access, any permissions, the weather and a suitable alternative. Travel, venue hire and any other agreed costs are confirmed before booking.
Your photographs are private unless you give explicit publication permission. We also discuss who may be present and how private the chosen setting can be.
Step by step
The experience: from enquiry to finished images
The same clear process supports all three session types.
Initial conversation and planning
Your enquiry gives me a starting point. I discuss the session type, ideas, references, preferred timing, location and the boundaries you want observed. A date is not reserved until I have reviewed and agreed the request with you.
The photography session
I guide your posing, movement and expression throughout. You can contribute ideas or change direction as the session develops. Current sessions generally run from one to three hours, depending on the package and plan.
Image selection and delivery
Editing currently takes around one to three weeks. I then arrange a viewing so you can select the images included in your package and decide whether you want any additional photographs.
Selected, edited photographs are supplied as JPG files on a USB drive, through a shared folder or through a file-sharing service such as WeTransfer. USB drives and canvas prints can be delivered by hand or post. Delivery is within two to three weeks of your approval of the photographs, using the method agreed with you.
A personal service
What every session has in common
- You work directly with Emanuele, not a team of photographers.
- No modelling experience is required.
- Posing and expression are guided.
- Your images are private unless you give explicit publication permission.
- You can discuss boundaries before and during the session.
The finished photographs
My eye for a photograph, the way I work with light and composition, and my editing style are part of what you book. The finished photographs bring that approach together with you as the subject.
Only selected, edited photographs are delivered. RAW files and unedited photographs are not supplied. The package image count refers to the finished photographs in your collection.
Agreement and privacy
A written agreement is signed before the shoot. It records the session arrangements and how your photographs may be used. Publication or competition use requires your specific permission; agreeing to a photography session does not by itself grant that permission.
Italian-speaking clients
Italian-speaking clients in the UK are welcome. Travel to Italy may also be considered: discuss the project, location, dates and travel arrangements with me before booking. Italy travel is agreed separately from the local package mileage allowance.
